Centre Pompidou

Centre Pompidou is an interesting building – it is sort of inside out building.  We visited Pompidou in Metz a while back which looked like a giant tent.  From the roof top you can almost see all the major landmarks in Paris.  A very nice Passion women pointed out all of them to us, all the less obvious ones we could not find on the map too.  Aside from Paul Klee exhibit which was phenomenal, there is a lot of modern stuff here, there is a lot of Bauhaus and of course the usual classics like Kandinsky, Picasso and Dali.  Absolutely something for everyone.  After the museum we burned another round around Paris, a bit of good food, a bit of shopping and a lot of sight seeing and I mean a lot. Poor Evelina lost her hat on the way downtown and her metro ticket on the way out of the centre, so we had to pay a fine….not a  good day for the little one!  At one point we were even told to move because someone was trying to take a picture.  This has never happened to us before, apparently they required the entire bridge to take that one perfect picture with no one in the background while blocking the sun with their giant iPad.  Needless to say we did not want to be rude and start an argument so we promptly ignored them and enjoyed the view and took our pictures like we usually do.  Some people.
