City Museum Fembohaus

Nuremberg’s only remaining large late Renaissance merchant’s house shows a brief history of Nuremberg. It’s modern and sleek and newly opened. The building is still undergoing a major renovation on the outside but the inside is ready to explore. One of the best exhibits here and the starting point of the tour is a massive 1939 wood carving of the city map that took 4 years and four people to make – and it is to scale as well.

This is a great place to start for anyone visiting Nuremberg. What a bad day to forget the camera too, I had to use my iPhone which is less than ideal..
