Made in Normandy

First thing this morning we made online dinner reservations at a very nice little bistro in Rouen.  Made in Normandy Bistro is in the old town and we were quite happy to be able to get a table there.  In a typical French style we are celebrating our 17th Wedding Anniversary today with foie gras and escargots for starters.  For main Boris was lucky to get the last portion of 5 hour roasted lamb, Evelina and I had the steak and fries and Anna and Lauren had a roasted chicken with a lot of Calvados liquor on it.  For dessert everyone but Evelina opted for crème brûlée; strawberries, ice cream and Chantilly cream for the youngest one, wine and espresso to complete this splendid meal – of course. This was time well spent.  We wrapped up just before 10pm in time for the Sound and Light Show at the Rouen Cathedral which is about a 3 minute walk from here.
