All that you can hear right now in the middle of the night at Buccia Nera are crickets. It is almost midnight and it is still 25C outside, there are no bugs and it is absolutely fantastic.

Meanwhile – and sorry for spamming your blog – I think you guys are very close to where we stayed a few years ago. We were in Incisa in Val D’arno/Figline Valdarno. We remember the non-stop crickets, but also remember the very aggressive mosquitoes! Hope you avoid them!! There’s an outlet strip mall close by, called “The Mall”, carrying high-end brand names if your interested! Wish we were there with you!!
If I am looking at the right place then you were about 44km from here. Small world indeed. I think we saw some sort of a mall on the way here but we are saving ourselves for the grand shopping tour to Treviso in July. So far no mosquitos so all is good at this end….
