There are a lot of interesting things to see in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is perhaps not the city best know for its landmarks like Paris or London but Amsterdam has its own jewels and charm. Amsterdam is the capital city of the most populous city within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Its status as the Dutch capital is mandated by the Constitution of the Netherlands though it is not the seat of the Dutch government, which is The Hague. Amsterdam has a population of 813,562 within the city-proper, 1,112,165 in the urban region and 1,575,263 in the greater metropolitan area. There are estimated 700,000 bicycles in Amsterdam. At the main train ration there is a 3 story parking garage for 2500 bicycles, on an average day there are almost 10,000 bicycles parked by the train station. There are bikes or every shape size and colour designed for each and every part of peoples lives.
