Churches

There are some 190 churches in Venice.  To see them all in one day or even a week is mission impossible.  There are churches dedicated to all sorts of saints and holidays and important historical events you can imagine. ” The plague  is over” – let’s celebrate and built a church – literally.  To make matters worse there is an entrance fee, usually about €3 to €5 each.  I am sure you can get a pass to see a whole lot of them which makes things easier but, whether you have a pass or no pass, photography inside the churches is not allowed!  There are some stunning, and I mean mind boggling stunning Rococo churches here, but we can’t remember one from the other without having a picture for a reference. Here are some of the churches we walked by as we wondered around the streets Venice.
