Going Italian

We are planning a short trip to Italy next week.  Today we decided to go for a pizza and some pasta to start getting our guts used to, not only the wonderful flavours of Italy, but also to the crazy portion sizes.  At L’Osteria, a quiet little place on a side street in Nuremberg, real men order half a pizza.  I don’t think it is humanly possible to eat the entire thing in one sitting – but I do feel like this statement might be up for a challenge one day.  There are many flavours of pizza available at L’Osteria and they come in two sizes – bonkers huge and half of the same.  I don’t think they make plates large enough to fit this thing, but even if they did no one could actually lift it.  This was a good pizza, I dare say better than what we had in Paganico last year.  We must visit this place again soon.  Two steps away from the pizzeria is a great gelato place, a bit of  heaven on a waffle.  Soon I am  going to be switching to wearing my elastic band buffet pants around the clock.
