Le Bistrot du Moulin

In the next village, Villeneuve-lez-Avignon,  about 6km away is a little bistro which is set up in the old olive oil press shop.  This place was suggested to us by the couple who run the chateau.  They did say that this is not a gastronomic restaurant but a bistro not knowing what this really means in France we went for it.  Were  we in for a surprise.

We elected to go for Creme Brûlée Carpaccio with goat cheese, Tiramisu with celery and churro for starters.  Fennell and orange sword fish, Lamb crape with vegetable puree, local organic wine and olive bread for main.   For dessert you could have anything you wanted and as much as you wanted for €8.00 from the dessert table in the middle of the restaurant.  We are back to overeating olympics!
