Natural History Museum

To your average creationist this place is hell and Darwin is the devil, to the rest of inquiriting  minds this is a place of amazement and wonder.  The museum is home to life and earth science specimens comprising some 70 million items within five main collections: botany, entomology, mineralogy, palaeontology and zoology.  Each exhibit hall is more splendid the the last, each exhibit is bigger, better and more engaging.  From moon and Mars rocks to a life size replica of a blue whale, from gold and diamonds to thousand year old fossils there is something for everyone here.  This by far has been our favourite attraction to date in London, hands down. The building itself is very inspiring both in and out, and the newly open Cocoon part of the museum is not only very modern but also very cool.  The museum is free of charge, relying only on donations.

This is the best museum! We went 2 times when we were there 9 years ago and the kids were small… There was a special Dinosaur exhibit at the time – which they still remember. And the building like you say is awesome, you can totally see how Hogwarts came to life looking at this.
