Here we go. Leaving Germany.
Finally In Frankfurt
The train came a bit late which always causes unnecessary stress. But I did manage to push my belongings across the terminals and even squeezed in a quick espresso too. All my language is checked in: 22.9 kg, 23.1kg and 12.5kg for the carry on – one less thing to deal with. It is almost […]
Boarding passes in hand, family is off through security scan. That is a lot of electronic fruit they need to pull out.
I think these smiles say it all, or they are just posing for the camera. In Frankfurt at the airport just waiting to get bows all wrapped up and set off.
The lag gauge has arrived – all of these 12 suitcases came with me in a car with room for maybe two or there more. Now they are waiting for the family to help me push them to departures.
So the plane was 9 minutes late. This does not seems like a huge amount of time but at an airport like Frankfurt that makes a lot of difference. At the same time arriving at Gate E were four other planes, two from Russia and one from Middle East plus one more. All four of these planes […]
Lauren has landed
The plane came in 9 min late. Now it needs to taxi, then it is passport control, customs, luggage and then the walk to the arrivals lounge. Here we all are!
Lauren, the last of the guests, is coming today. Not knowing what the drive will be like we left early to get here early. Now all we have to do is simply wait, everyone is anxious, especially Boris and Evelina.
One more trip to Frankfurt, one more guest taking advantage of us being here and visiting. We are looking forward to showing off this beautiful city and visiting our favorite places.
Packed like sardines we set off for Frankfurt to drop off our parents for their trip back to Edmonton. Not a lot of traffic, not a lot of construction nice and easy drive, just the way lazy Saturday drives should be.
The travellers come bearing loot….
After the most brutal and dreadful drive we got to Frankfurt, just in time too as the flight arrived early. Now we are waiting in arrivals for the first guests from Canada this year.
We constantly aim to elevate the amateur way of traveling – this trip is no exception. We set off from Nuremberg to Frankfurt on the train. We did not want to chance getting stuck in traffic or a snow storm or getting stressed about getting there on time. We would arrive in Frankfurt with 2.5 […]
After a short and uneventful flight we arrived in Frankfurt. Option Plus upgrade is the best money we spent on this adventure so far. After a short and a quick drive through the rolling hills of Bavaria we arrived at home in Nuremberg. The end of the journey was celebrated with some Luxembourg goose pâté […]
