Verona

William Shakespeare made Verona famous with its tragedies.  Verona is a gorgeous city with its quiet streets, many churches, the magnificent Arena and of course Juliet’s balcony.  We did a lot of walking around, a bit of shopping and a whole lot of eating as we usually do.  I think we will be coming back to Verona for another look. This truly is a great town.

Gorgeous! Miss it – hope you guys loved it. Did you stay at the cheap nuns’s hotel like Anna and I did 20-some years ago? 😉

No we did not its only about a 20 min drive from Garda. However, what you spent on the hostel we paid the two gladiators to pose for the pictures!

Those gladiators got us in Rome too. Pose first all friendly-like, then demand cold, hard cash instants later.

They were very nice about it, its almost like we had to force them to take the money. Classy gladiators.

Lucky you. Ours very crassy gladiators 😉

Well, I think the gladiators saw me and they knew I meant business so they did not try any funny business.
