To Poland and Back

Today we are going to Warsaw!  For me it is a first trip back to Poland in 29.5 years.  For us, as a family, it is the first trip to Poland.  We are going to be staying in Loziska just outside Warsaw with Anna’s cousin Robert.  The drive itself is about 960km but we managed it in about  8.5 hours.  I have to say that the toll highways in Poland are nice.  There are no cars, the tolls are not expansive and the traffic flow is great.  Even though you can go much faster on the Autobahn on average, the toll highways in Poland  are much faster simply because no one drives on them.  No police, no traffic, perfectly smooth road – what’s not to like?  Great trip.

This was still in Germany. The worse of it all was on the German/Polish border – about 10 or 15km long. Crazy.

How long did take you to cross?

Actually the traffic was going the other way which I hope is going to clear up by the time we are going back.
