un-Train-ed Amateurs

Obviously we are not very with it when it comes to train travel.  First we almost missed our first stop where we were supposed to get off and switch trains.  We pulled up to the platform and suddenly we realized  that we are not packed.  Anna and Boris run off while I was waiting for Evelina to find her shoes and pack her bag.  Let’s just say that if it wasn’t for me sticking my foot in the door as it was closing we would be going to Frankfurt.  That was close.

Then, on the intercity train we accidentally goto off on the wrong stop – who knew there were so many “Hausens” around this part of Germany.  So we are walking on the platform that looks a bit dodgy and small a Nordhausen.  We look at the sign and its the wrong city.  Luckily I still managed to press the button for the door to open so we could get back on the train we just departed.  I never loaded a suitcase onto the train faster in my life.  Two seconds later the train took off.  We are such losers!  Looks like this train travel will take some practice.
