Vernazza Beach

After a nice stroll through the village we decided to go under the mountain to the other side of town and hang out on the beach.  This is a rocky beach and since we did not bring the sand toys with us, we did what comes naturally to all  Canadians – building our versions of Inukshuks. It was not long after the first one was built and fell that people started gathering around and taking pictures and then promptly stacking their own stones.  That is how we left our mark on Vernazza.  One of the onlookers actually knew the name of it – we were very impresses.

Ok, this reminds me, if anyone along the way was to find me a rock from your travels and it made it’s way back to Canada…well I’m just sayin’ 🙂

Speaking of rocks. Evelina has collected about 15lb of these ‘gems’ and we are in the process of deciding what should be taken back and what should not. I don’t think we have been to a city where she has not picked one up. I will task her with this project she will be all over it.
